Getting started

4 answers
How does the free trial work?

When you join you get 7 days free on either plan. You enter your card at checkout, but nothing is charged today. You get 100 creations to try every tool and see what the writing looks like on your own products. Those 100 come out of the 500 a month, and they don't reset while you're in the trial.

Billing only starts after the trial ends. If you cancel during the trial, you're never charged and you keep access until the 7 days are up.

What counts as a creation?

One creation is one tool run. Most tools use one creation each time you use them.

A few things to know: the listing package (title, description, and tags together) uses 3 creations, one per tool. The "More options" button on a tool gives you 3 extra alternatives in a single run, and that still counts as one creation.

Your remaining creations for the month show at the top of the app, so you always know where you stand.

What do I need to start writing?

Just your product. Pick a tool, tell CopySprout what the item is, and fill in the details it asks for. The more specific you are, the better the writing fits your shop.

You don't need to be good at writing. You need to know your product, and CopySprout does the rest.

Which tools should I use first?

If you only have a few minutes, start with Listing Titles. Titles are the first thing Etsy search reads, and three fresh ones take seconds to make.

Next, run the Tag Set for the same product, then the Listing Description. That's the core of a listing. From there, work through the other tools as you need them: reviews, thank-you notes, social posts.

Plans and billing

5 answers
How much does CopySprout cost?

CopySprout is $4.99 a month or $49.99 a year. The yearly plan works out to about two months free, and you can switch plans from your billing page any time.

Both plans include all 16 tools and 500 creations every month. There's no cheaper tier with fewer tools, and no per-tool upsells. One price, everything included.

How do I cancel my subscription?

Open the app, click your name in the top right, and choose "Manage plan." That takes you to the billing page where you can cancel in two clicks. There's no emailing anyone and no waiting.

If you cancel during the trial, you're never charged. If you cancel after billing started, you keep access for the rest of the month you paid for, and it won't renew.

Can I switch between monthly and yearly?

Yes. From "Manage plan" in the app you can move between the monthly and yearly plans. Switching to yearly charges you the yearly rate right away and moves your renewal date to a year out.

Switching the other way, from yearly to monthly, stops the yearly renewal and moves you to monthly billing at your next renewal date. You don't lose anything either way.

What happens if I run out of creations?

Your creations reset on the same day every month. You can see your count and the reset date at the top of the app.

If you hit 0 before the reset, the tools stop generating until the new month. There's no overage charge, so you'll never get a surprise bill.

Why did my payment fail?

Usually it's an expired card, a card with a new number, or a bank that declined the charge. You'll get an email from our billing processor with the reason.

You can update your card from "Manage plan" in the app. If your payment fails more than once, your subscription pauses until the card is sorted. You won't lose your account, and your creations are safe.

Using the tools

Why did my creation fail?

Most failures are one of two things. Either you sent two requests within a few seconds of each other, or the writing service was briefly overloaded.

If you see a message about creating too fast, wait a few seconds and try again. If a tool returns an empty result, just run it once more. Failed attempts don't use up your creations.

What does "More options" do?

It gives you three more alternatives in the same run. So if a title set wasn't quite right, you get three fresh sets to pick from, still for the cost of one creation.

It's the fastest way to get more ideas without spending your whole monthly quota.

Where do my past creations go?

Everything you generate is saved in your history, inside the app. You can scroll through it, search it, and copy anything again. There's also an export option if you want a copy of everything.

Saved products work the same way: star a product you work on often and it's one tap away next time, with all your details filled in.

Does CopySprout know Etsy's rules?

Yes. The tools are built around Etsy's limits: titles stay under 140 characters, tags stay under 20 characters each, and you get 13 tags per listing. CopySprout checks these as it writes, so you don't have to count characters yourself.

Etsy changes its rules from time to time, and CopySprout is updated to keep up.

Can CopySprout rewrite a listing I already have?

Yes, that's what Listing Refresh is for. Paste in a listing that isn't performing and it comes back optimized, keeping your details and sharpening the search words.

Polish My Writing does the same for anything you wrote yourself, from a listing to a message: cleaner grammar and clarity, without changing your voice.

Can CopySprout make my product photos too?

CopySprout writes the words: titles, descriptions, and tags. For product photos, Moss Toolbox has an AI Image Studio that generates and edits images from a plain-language prompt (https://mosstoolbox.com/tools/ai-image-studio/).

Write the listing here, make the photos there, and put them together in your shop.
