How to use Keyword Expander

Keyword Expander is for when you know your product but not the search words around it. You type in a few words you're sure about, and it finds the phrases buyers actually use.
What you'll fill in
These are the fields the tool asks for, exactly as they appear in the app. Required fields are marked; the rest you can leave blank and CopySprout fills the gaps.

How to use it
- Open the app and pick Keyword Expander from the Listings group.
- Fill in the product and materials, then put your starting words in the seed box, separated by commas. Three or four honest guesses is plenty.
- Run it. You get 13 tags and keywords built around your seeds, each under Etsy's limit.
- Compare them to what you would have written yourself. The value is in the phrases you missed.
- Use the results as tags directly, or as ideas for your title.
What you get
13 searchable tags and keywords grown from your own starting words. The set reaches into the phrases around your product, not just the words you already had.
Tips
- Tags over 20 characters get cut off by Etsy. Everything CopySprout returns fits the limit.
- Run this before Tag Set when you're unsure what to search for, or after, to widen the set you're choosing from.
