How to use Shop Announcement
3 min read · Published August 11, 2026
The text at the top of your shop page is the first thing new visitors see, so it has to tell them what to know, fast. This tool writes it in two versions: a short one for the announcement bar and a longer one for the shop header.
What you'll fill in
These are the fields the tool asks for, exactly as they appear in the app. Required fields are marked; the rest you can leave blank and CopySprout fills the gaps.
- What you makeRequired
What your shop creates — one line is fine.
Example: hand-thrown stoneware mugs
- Style or themeRequired
Words shoppers use to find this style.
Example: boho, minimalist
- What’s newOptional
What’s new or timely in your shop — optional.
Example: restock, holiday items, custom orders
How to use it
- Open the app and pick Shop Announcement from the Shop group.
- Add what you make in one line, like "hand-thrown stoneware mugs".
- Add your style, like boho or minimalist, if you have one.
- If something timely is happening, like a restock or holiday items, add it to the optional news box.
- Run it. You get a short welcome for the announcement bar and a longer version for the header.
- Paste each one where it belongs in your shop settings.
What you get
Two versions of your shop intro: a one or two line announcement and a longer header version. Both tell new visitors what you make and what to expect.
Tips
- Your announcement shows at the top of your shop, so keep it current. Change it when your processing time or seasonal news changes.
- The announcement is a signpost, not a welcome mat. Tell visitors the useful thing and let them move on to your listings.
